6. Harlen Berry Harlen William Berry (Emma Jane Miller-3, Emily L. Manson-2, Capt. Jean Francois-1) was born on 19 December 1888 in Fairfield Co., Ohio.14,33 Harlen's death record shows his birth year as 1887.
      He appeared in a WW I draft registration record on 5 June 1917 in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan.33 Harlen gives his address as 1260½ Waterloo, Detroit Michigan. He states that he was born in Fairfield County Ohio and employed as an auto worker for the Chalmers Motor Company in Detroit. He lists his wife as his only dependent. He is described as being tall and slender with gray eyes and light hair. He signed his name Harlen Berry.
      He died on 30 November 1919 at the age of 30 in Pontiac, Oakland Co., Michigan.22

Harlen William Berry and Effie L. Juckette (daughter of John G. Juckette and Leona E. Haviland) were married on 6 January 1912 in Beaverton, Gladwin Co., Michigan.33,40

Harlen William Berry and Clara Lestena Berry (daughter of Arvinton Berry and Barbara Ellen Rinebolt) were married on 25 October 1915 in Essex, Ontatio, Canada.20 Clara & Harlen are 1st cosusins. Clara's father is the brother to Harlen's father, Alvin C. Berry.
Clara Lestena Berry was born on 23 December 1894 in Harrod Twp., Allen Co., Ohio.20
      She appeared in the census on 2 January 1920 in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan.57 The 1920 census has Clara living alone as: Clara Berry [widow][house servant] a.25 b.Ohio p.b.Ohio. She was employed by Otto & Ethel Hauser.
      Harlen & Clara's son Lawrence's death record lists the mother as Clara Ribbel.
